REWARD OFFERED
On July 20 officers responded to an alarm at the Wachovia Bank, 1200 Mitchell Bridge Rd. Before officers arrived, a passerby called the police stating that she saw an unoccupied tractor travelling across the parking lot. When officers arrived, they found the tractor still running and that the ATM machine had been removed. It was later determined that the tractor had been stolen from the Adcock Furniture, 4220 Atlanta Hwy, construction site about two miles west of the bank. The tractor was used to pick up the ATM and load it into a vehicle of some kind. Detectives are in the process of reviewing the video images to see if any suspect(s) or suspect vehicles can be seen. There are no suspects at this time; however, this has been an ongoing problem in the Atlanta area since 2006. Wachovia is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible. If you have any information concerning this case contact Det. Sean McCauley at 706-353-4218 X141 or call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 706-613-3342. (07-1413)
